Vo februári sa v LOM space uskutoční koncert zo série Mikrozvuk, na ktorom vystúpia Alley Catss a Střed světa.
V čase Mikrozvuku s poradovým číslom 58 sa zhodou okolností otvorí portál, ktorý vedie priamo do stredu Zeme. Neobjaví sa na Islande ako písal Verne, ani neďaleko južného pólu, ako sa nechal počuť starý Poe, ale nečakane, na podlahe v LOM space. Kto príde, ten zostúpi do sveta tmy, v ktorom sa o dezorientáciu postarajú staré dobré halucinácie.
Zostupom prevedie ten najpovolanejší – český zvukový umelec, obchodník s kaleidoskopickými textúrami a apoštol chaosu – Střed světa. Dlho o ňom nebolo počuť, snáď od čias jeho albumov vydaných na dnes už legendárnom východoeurópskom labeli Baba Vanga. To sa písal rok 2017. Minulý rok sa však zazneli šumy v súvislosti s jeho albumom Paralysis Catalogue, ktorý vyšiel v nemenej zaujímavom vydavateľstve Daddypower Records. Všetko sa prepojilo a Štřed světa pozvanie do LOMu neodmietol.
Spomínaný album nevydal Střed světa sám. Je to vlastne splitko s jeho maďarským kolegom Elodom Jankym. Eloda možno poznať ako vizuálneho umelca, zvukového experimentátora, pastora budapeštianskej pokrivenej klubovej scény a tiež vedúceho spomenutého vydavateľstva Daddypower. Vystupuje pod desiatkami pseudonymov, ale ten najznámejší je Alley Catss. Keď nie je v klube, hrá tak trochu absurdný ambient, plný subbasových new-age samplov a arpeggiových ozvien, ktoré sa odparujú z vlhkého podzemia. So Středom světa ho spája obsedantný záujem o dekonštrukcie na čo najmenšie činitele. Hlavne nech to čvachtá, prská, bublá, syčí a cvrčí.
Ešte treba spomenúť, že svoje albumy vydal všade, kde treba, to jest vo vydavateľstvách mappa, Exiles, Opal Tapes a i.
In February, LOM space will host a concert from the Mikrozvuk series, featuring Alley Catss and Střed světa.
During Mikrozvuk #58, a portal will open that leads directly to the center of the Earth. It will not appear in Iceland, as Verne wrote, nor near the South Pole, as Poe suggested, but unexpectedly, on the floor of LOM space. Those who come will descend into a world of darkness, where good old hallucinations will take care of their disorientation.
The descent will be led by the most qualified person for the job – Czech sound artist, kaleidoscopic texture merchant, and apostle of chaos – Střed světa. He hasn't been heard from in a long time, perhaps since the days of his albums released on the now legendary Eastern European label Baba Vanga. That was in 2017. Last year, however, there was buzz surrounding his album Paralysis Catalogue, released on the equally interesting label Daddypower Records. Everything came together, and Střed světa did not refuse LOM's invitation.
Střed světa did not release the aforementioned album alone. It is actually a split album with his Hungarian colleague Elod Janky. Elod is known as a visual artist, sound experimenter, pastor of the twisted Budapest club scene, and also the head of the aforementioned Daddypower label. He performs under dozens of pseudonyms, but the best known is Alley Catss. When he's not in the club, he plays somewhat absurd ambient music, full of sub-bass new-age samples and arpeggio echoes that evaporate from the damp underground. What connects him to Středom světa is an obsessive interest in deconstruction into the smallest possible elements. The main thing is that it squelches, sputters, bubbles, hisses, and chirps.
It should also be mentioned that he has released his albums everywhere he needs to, i.e. on the labels mappa, Exiles, Opal Tapes, and others.
